What Is Spinal Flow?
The 'Spinal FlowTechnique' is a relatively new approach that draws on modern scientific knowledge while acknowledging timeless principles observed across many ancient healing traditions.
It was founded in Australia by Dr Carli Axford, a chiropractor of 20 + years who worked for the 'Texas Back Institute' - world leaders in advancing spine technology, science and education. Now Carli now devotes her energy to training and supporting Spinal Flow Practitioners worldwide, helping us bring this healing technique to as many people as possible.
Spinal Flow uses gentle touch on specific Access Points along the spine and cranium. This touch is calming, reassuring, releases layers of stress from the body and removes spinal blockages to restore and regulate the nervous system.
Your nervous system was your blueprint from the very start, guiding the formation of every part of you - your skeleton, your organs and features. Once you are born, it remains the control centre for your physical, emotional and physiological health, constantly working hard to maintain your balance and keep you in homeostasis. Life's physical, emotional and chemical stresses can build up throughout life and hinder it's ability to work effectively.
Spinal Flow doesn't push your body, it is a gentle therapy that invites your body and mind back to balance. It hands control back to your nervous system, enables you to take responsibility for your own health and leaves you with a renewed sense of calm.

''I first discovered the Spinal Flow Technique while on a weekend break in Norfolk during a deep tissue massage. The therapist suggested it might really help me — especially with my neck. When I got home to Suffolk, I did some research and found Christina at Grace Spinal Flow. There aren’t many Spinal Flow practitioners in Suffolk, so I decided to give Christina a try, despite the 25-mile journey each way.I’ve now had three sessions and already booked my fourth. ''Thankfully Christina asked me if i would like to have a trial of this treatment as I suffer with fibromyalgia/ME and chronic fatigue syndrome and am often in so much pain throughout my body. ''I've been lucky enough to have 3 treatments with Christina Barratt so far and it's been interesting to note the changes in my body, my back feels straighter, and the pain in my knees has gone. I suffer with dysfunctional breathing, so I predominantly breathe from my upper chest and not my diaphragm which affected my swimming so much that I stopped it altogether. After the first session, I noticed my breathing was deeper and the fear I carried around swimming seemed to have gone. I'm Christina Barratt (Chrissy). It's my joy to be the first certified practitioner to introduce the Spinal Flow Technique to Suffolk. Having had the privilege of learning directly from Dr Carli Axford, the creator of this gentle healing modality, I'm excited to share it's benefits with you!
My Story
In my own healing journey, I learned just how powerfully our emotions can shape our physical health. After navigating some intense stress and health challenges, I turned to natural approaches and the wisdom from my background. This path led me to discover Spinal Flow, which became the missing piece that brought my health into balance.
I trained with Dr. Carli Axford and became the first certified Spinal Flow practitioner here in Suffolk. Our clinic, offers a warm, nurturing space to heal and unwind. Whether it’s our cozy log burners in winter or the garden with our free-range chickens in summer, you’ll find it’s a space that feels like home!

The name ‘Grace’ is a tribute to my grandmother. It's also my middle name and a reflection of the grace I hope to share with you.
